My new painting – Grounded was on show
My Wall text – My exploration of women without a voice examines fairy tales and myth, focusing on themes of empowerment, suppression, and transformation. While drawing inspiration from artists like Kiki Smith and Francesca Woodman, in my recent work, Grounded and Tree Lady embody escapism and metamorphoses through figure and nature.
Hi Fran Thank you so much for inviting me to collaborate and show my work with a group of such talented women artists I feel extremely privileged and very proud to be involved with the Cornish maids. It has made me feel deeply connected with other women artists and it really fits with my concepts in my work as I have been studying women empowerment in my MA illustration at Falmouth this year. Being in the show has made me feel empowered and given me more confidence about my work and given me the chance to have my voice heard and to be recognised. Thank you so much I am extremely grateful ♥x
